Bamboo Rod Photos |
 |
|
|
Here are a few photos of the first bamboo rod I started.
This isn't the first rod I finished, because I started a one-piece rod while waiting
for the ferrules for this one. Click on the thumbnails to see each photo (about
70Kb each).

NOTE: This
is a 7' 4wt 3-piece rod, built to a Wayne Cattanach taper. I'm not the best
photographer, so some of the photos have reflective white-spots due to the glare of the flash on the varnish.
As you can see from the signature label on the rod, I'm planning to donate this
rod to the "ROFF Western Clave," an upcoming gathering of fly
fishermen. Why would I give this rod away after taking so long to finish it?
Because I built two other rods exactly like this one at the same time just in
case I ran into problems. I'll be finished with those two rods in another week
or two.
