Working packet is easy via these
gateways. Most require a telnet program on your end. My favorite for simplicity,
ease of installation, and availablity is EWAN. It can be downloaded for free from
http://www.wowarea.com/english/help/ewan.htm. You'll also find lots of helpful
info on telnet at that site.
Next, select a packet gateway from the list
and register according
to their instructions. An authorization and password will be e-mailed to you
once you're verified by the sysop. Once you get the verification (I got mine
in about 1 day), you're ready to get on packet. You can "pop" the telnet
window on screen, log onto packet, then move it to one side and continue to
"cruise" the net.
Do you know of any additional Packet Radio Gateway websites
that I could add to this page? Are any of the links you tried on this
site broken?? If so, please drop me an
email by clicking -->HERE<--, or email to webmaster@teara.org
