TRIANGLE CHAPTER USABDA DANCE WORKSHOPS

Bob Mitchell - A nationally recognized dance instructor and 20 year veteran, NDCA certified adjudicator. He holds advanced fellowship degrees in American, Modern, Latin and Theatrical styles of ballroom dancing.

Kathleen Banovich - A former US Professional Ballroom Champion with over 20 years of competitive experience. She holds Licentiate and Associate degrees with ISTD and is a certified adjudicator.

Patrick Taverna - A 20 year veteran from New York. He is certified with ISTD and NDCA in both Latin and Standard, teaches and competes in Smooth and Latin, in both American and International forms. Patrick recently won the Argentine Tango Competition at La Classique’ Du Quebec World Competition.

Dan Calloway - Has been competing for 20 years and currently coaches several US jr. champion, champion, and sr. champion couples. He was the youngest recipient of the dual ISTD Ballroom/Latin Fellowship certificate and has won a number of East Coast "Teacher Of The Year" Awards

Silke Nowak - A member of the Imperial Society of Dance teachers (M.I.S.T.D.), she has been teaching Ballroom Dancing for over 5 years in the Washington, D.C. area. She and Dan Calloway won the 1995 Eastern U.S. Championships in the Basic Latin category

Timothy and Michele Mason - Retired USA Standard Champions. Their recent accomplishments include: First place 1997 Ohio Star Ball - International Standard, Third place 1999 Ohio Star Ball - International Standard and Show Dance, Open British Rising Star Finalists, First Place 1999 Nevada Star Ball Championships - Professional International Standard, Second place 1999 Florida State DanceSport Championships - Professional International Standard.

Raul Avila - Has been teaching salsa in New York city for the last 7 years and at Dancesport for the last 5 years. He just opened his own dance studio specializing in salsa. Raul has done various workshops, classes and performances around the country. His background with salsa music extends back more than 20 years. Wayne and Marie Crowder - Three time American Senior Amateur Latin champions. Both Wayne and Marie have achieved the status of "elite" dancer. Their recent accomplishments include: First place 1997 USA Dancesport National Championships - Senior Latin division, First place 2000 Heritage Championships - AMATEUR "B" International Standard Open 5-Dance. They also represented the USA at the IDSF World Senior Latin Championships in Belgium
