TRIANGLE CHAPTER USABDA DANCE WORKSHOPS


General Information


These workshops are held in conjunction with the UNC and NC State Ballroom dance clubs and all proceeds go to benefit these two organizations. USABDA is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to promoting ballroom dancing.

Each session will be 50 minutes with a 10 minute break. There will be a 50 minute break for lunch. Sessions will emphasize technique and styling, as well as steps.

Day 1 - Nov 9th sessions at:
NC State University Carmichael Gym
  • Attendance will be limited to 15 Leaders and 15 Followers per class. Registration is first come first serve.

  • To register, fill out and return the form below along with a check. Please fill out one form per person.

  • Registration is first come first serve. Class space will not be reserved without payment.

  • We will call you only if there is a problem with your registration, otherwise consider yourself registered.

  • We recommend that you wear loose, comfortable clothes and bring a change of shoes, a small towel, an extra shirt, notebook and pen. Bring a bag lunch if you don't plan to go out for lunch.

  • Please plan to check in 15 minutes before your first session begins.

  • Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Level I Classes Cover core concepts for quick learners or those with some experience. A good refresher for those with more experience. Roughly Bronze I & II
Level II Classes More advanced steps and technique for those comfortable with level I. Roughly Bronze II - III
Level III Classes These classes are not for beginners and have prerequisites. Roughly Bronze IV
Level IV Classes These classes are experienced dancers and have prerequisites. Roughly Silver I - II

Please note that certain dances, such as Viennese Waltz or Quickstep are considered "advanced." To indicate their degree of difficulty no Level I classes are offered, introductory classes in these dances start at Level II.
